| Publish Without Limits for Teachers Launched
Potomac, Maryland, July 7, 2005—Schools Without Limits’ first product, Publish Without Limits, was released today. Publish Without Limits’ goal is to create a world where a young girl in Pakistan can graduate from the 6th grade with a high school education. A teacher in Spain can create a course about a famous local poet and a student in Maine can enjoy that course as part of his Spanish class. A young boy in Lima can receive the same exceptional education that a student in Calgary receives. Publish Without Limits (PWL) is a free authoring and publishing environment for education. PWL lets any teacher start their own publishing company. PWL’s website authoring environment is amazingly simple to use and creates courseware that will work with any school system’s software. (For the technically knowledgeable, the courseware is SCORM compliant.) SCORM courseware lets a student march through subjects as fast as the student can learn. Publish Without Limits is like having a free printing press. It means the courses and content teachers create can touch children across the world. It means the world's knowledge is at a teacher’s finger tips to teach. Our aim is to create a publishing environment which is not only elegantly simple to use but where the best of the best teaching flourishes and is available to all. Schools Without Limits is harnessing the passion of teachers, educators, parents, and students from around the globe to unleash innovation and imagination and to provide all children, in all countries, the best education the world can offer. |
