New Opportunity for American Teachers to Start Online Tutoring Business

Potomac, Maryland, Sept. 7, 2006 – Tutors Without Limits which launched last week, allows any American educator to offer their expertise to the world. Teachers can set up their own tutoring business in minutes and even better, at no cost. Glynn Willett, who founded the company, reported, "By the end of our first week, Tutors Without Limits became the largest resource of tutors in the world. Tutors are eagerly awaiting our launch to students."

Willett believes that the new technology will dramatically increase the size of the tutoring market. "It’s more than just the cost that keeps students from learning from tutors," Willett said. "There are a host of logistic and safety issues that prevent students from reaching out to teachers which will now disappear because of Tutors Without Limits." In the past tutoring has been done face to face either in the home or at a learning center and required a commute by the parent, student, or tutor. In addition, the time was set weeks in advance and not when help was really needed. With all the overhead, the cost has averaged over $40 an hour. Now with TWL, tutors offer their services directly to students at prices and times they determine. Parents can review their child’s tutoring session at any time, which adds comfort and security.

Tutors Without Limits brings the entrepreneurial sprit to teaching and learning. Any teacher can set up his or her own business in minutes and for free. With Tutors Without Limits, tutors will be offering their services to students all over the globe. The TWL marketplace will quickly sort services based on quality, content, qualifications, and recommendations. "We have created an e-bay like environment which will benefit both teachers and students," Willet said.
